Native American, Midwestern to Eastern United States, Eastern Woodland Period, ca. 5000 BCE to 1000 CE. An ensemble of 5 hand-knapped stone tools, 3 of which originate from Savannah, Tennessee. Each tool features knapped peripheries that create sharpened edges with which softer objects could be cut, and the largest exhibits a tapered tip that was perhaps utilized as an awl for piercing tough animal hide.
