CAPTAIN BONES is a 70 x 100 cm painting by Flavia Delgado inspired by the classic imagery of maritime tales, ancient adventure posters, and the vintage graphic aesthetic of the mid-20th century. The work portrays a skeleton captain smoking a pipe while holding the wheel of a large galleon at sea. Dressed in a navy blue overcoat and a red-and-white striped shirt, the character blends dark humor, adventure, and visual theatrics, creating a powerful, cinematic image. Flavia Delgado blends influences from pop art, pulp illustration, and old nautical and adventure posters, using bold black lines, strong flat colors, and a frontal composition with a high graphic impact. The visual treatment recalls both vintage illustrated advertisements and classic pirate and explorer novels. The color palette, based on deep blues, intense reds, blacks, and dune tones, provides an elegant and nostalgic maritime atmosphere. The skeleton turned captain conveys a symbolic sense of eternity, voyage, and challenge against the ocean. CAPTAIN BONES is a work that fuses adventure, irony, and contemporary vintage aesthetics, ideal for interiors with personality, creative spaces, or collections inspired by the nautical universe and the classic imagery of the seas. SHIPPING: The work is offered directly by FLAVIA DELGADO, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist herself. The painting (UNFRAMED) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping. After payment is confirmed, a period of three days is required to prepare the piece and ship it. The delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum of up to ten business days.
