TACO is a 70 x 100 cm painting by Flavia Delgado that celebrates one of the most recognizable icons of popular gastronomy through an aesthetic inspired by vintage advertising, Pop Art, and mid-twentieth-century commercial graphics. With a direct, vibrant image filled with personality, the work transforms a commonplace dish into a powerful visual statement about culture, flavor, and the pleasure of sharing. The composition is built around a large, overflowing taco with fresh, colorful ingredients. The texture of the tortilla, the intense tones of the filling, and the small vegetal details turn the image into a homage to Mexican cuisine and to the visual richness of its flavors. Above the scene appears the word TAC O in monumental letters, as if it were a poster from an old advertising campaign designed to catch the eye from a distance. The color palette rests on a combination of bright turquoise, warm yellows, intense reds, and deep blacks. These contrasts create a dynamic, optimistic image that recalls hand-painted classic ads, where graphic simplicity and visual impact were protagonists. The expressive lines and bold outlines give character and energy, reinforcing the connection between contemporary art and popular design. Beyond the gastronomic representation, the work speaks of cultural identity and collective celebration. The taco appears as a symbol of tradition, creativity, and culinary mestizaje. Its presence evokes markets full of life, family gatherings, lively streets, and the power of food to bring people together around a shared experience. The large yellow circle dominating the background functions as a radiant sun, contributing a warm and festive atmosphere. This element transforms the scene into more than a simple still life, suggesting a sense of joy, abundance, and vitality associated with the landscapes and cultures of the American continents. With accessible visual language, colorful and full of graphic strength, TACO combines humor, design, and tradition to pay homage to one of the great icons of world gastronomy, turning it into a contemporary image capable of awakening both appetite and a smile. SHIPPING: The work is offered directly by FLAVIA DELGADO, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist herself. The painting (UNFRAMED) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipment. After payment is confirmed, a period of three days is required to prepare the piece and ship it. The delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum of up to ten business days.
