Flos - Konstantin Grcic - Wall lamp - Nocturne W Cone...

Flos Nocturne W Cone, designed by Konstantin Grcic, is a wall lamp that combines industrial precision and a study of light through a refined balance between aluminum and extra-clear borosilicate glass. The extruded aluminum frame, characterized by essential and rigorous lines, supports a conical glass diffuser, a distinctive element of the project. The design fuses architectural aesthetics with sophisticated lighting technology, turning the lamp into a decorative object even when it is off. Its most evocative appearance emerges when it is switched on: thanks to the particular conception of the light source, the edge of the glass diffuser lights up, creating an elegant luminous halo that highlights the cone's profile. The glass thus acquires an unexpected, almost suspended visual presence, while the direct light of the COB LED ensures focused and functional illumination. The dual light source therefore allows combining performance and atmosphere, simultaneously enhancing the illuminated surface and the diffuser itself. The luminous module can rotate on two axes, allowing the beam to be oriented as needed and the lighting to be adapted to different contexts. The control of intensity via a phase-cut dimmer also allows modulating the light and creating different atmospheres. Designed for contemporary, residential, and professional environments, Nocturne W Cone represents a carefully researched synthesis of functionality, material experimentation, and light quality. A project in which glass is not only a diffusion element, but becomes the protagonist of the lighting experience.
