Folding chair - Wood, Metal, Textile - 'DIVA' showroom model

A stunning, absolutely like-new eye-catcher for any design interior, mancave, or home cinema. This cinema/theater chair is a high-quality, official showroom-display model from the manufacturer Fibrocit, produced according to the original 'Diva' Art Deco design from the 1930s. This particular specimen was produced by Fibrocit for promotional and historical exhibition purposes (including an exhibition around 100 years of Art Deco in Brussels). The model pays a beautiful homage to the very first model with a steel frame, which made Fibrocit the market leader in the Benelux at the time. Features & Condition: • Condition: Excellent, like new (mint condition). Because this is an official showroom/exhibit piece, the chair has never been used in a public cinema and shows no signs of wear. • Design: Beautifully shaped dark wooden exterior (backrest and underside of the seat) with the classic numbers "1" and "5" on the panels. • Upholstery: Original, gray woven fabric in pristine condition, completely free of tears or stains. • Base: Mounted on a sturdy, black-finished wooden display board. This allows the chair to stand completely independent and stable, without being bolted to the floor. The folding mechanism works perfectly and smoothly. • Documentation: Includes the accompanying information card on the foot plate that explains the historical context of the 'Diva' model. IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PICKUP: PICKUP ONLY. Due to the weight and nature of this item, this lot cannot be shipped. The buyer must pick up the chair themselves in Waasmunster, Belgium.
