Fossil tooth - Carcharodontosaurus Saharicus - 5.3 cm - 2.5 cm

A Carcharodontosaurus saharicus tooth, one of the largest predatory dinosaurs ever to have lived on Earth. 100% natural tooth, not restored. The Carcharodontosaurus (whose name means “shark-toothed lizard”), was a large carnivorous theropod dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous (about 100–94 million years ago, in the Cenomanian) in northwest Africa. It was an enormous theropod dinosaur, comparable in size to Tyrannosaurus rex, famed for its long serrated teeth designed for slicing flesh. Each fossil tooth shows the classic blade-like shape typical of the species, with the natural texture of the enamel and visible serrations, making it an extraordinary collectible piece: each tooth is unique, formed and fossilized over millions of years. Its length ranges from 12 to 13.7 meters, with an estimated weight around 5–8 tons. From the size of the tooth, the presumed skull length would be over 1.5 meters. A truly incredible piece for its shape and rarity. Truly splendid.
