Descriptio Carved and assembled walnut wood with wrought iron fittings. Measures 124 x 60 x 94 cm. An exceptional, large-format friar’s table made of solid walnut, with a generously proportioned rectangular top supported by robust turned legs and a structure reinforced with iron braces. The apron incorporates four drawers with architectural molding and period metal handles, embellished with elegantly designed Baroque keyhole escutcheons. The composition conveys monumentality and balance thanks to the combination of horizontal lines and vertical turned elements. The rich chromatics of the walnut and the patina accumulated over time accentuate the visual depth of the surfaces and highlight the nobility of the material. This type of furniture, traditionally associated with convents and stately homes, is one of the most representative typologies of 17th-century Spanish furniture. The piece stands out for the solidity of its construction, the purity of its proportions, and the sculptural quality of its joinery. 124 x 60 x 94 cm.
