Fr. 1212. 1882 $100 Gold Certificate. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 25.

Fr. 1212. 1882 $100 Gold Certificate. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 25. Representative of a short-lived signature combination that was current for only a few months in 1913. This $100 Gold Certificate issued under the Series of 1882 further represents one of the many deceptive and oft-overlooked rarities for the type and denomination. Overall, the Napier - Burke signature combination records less than 60 pieces contrary to the Teehee - Burke signature combination which records over 450 individual notes. Further held against the Speelman - White combination issued under the Series of 1922 and that divide becomes even more pronounced as Track & Price records just over 1,300 individual notes making this a deceptively rare opportunity to be had. PCGS Banknote comments "Treasury Seal Faded." Estimate: $1,250 - $1,750. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.
