Fr. 1298. 25 Cents. Third Issue. PCGS Currency Gem New 66 PPQ. A tough note among Third Issue Fractionals. This Gem New example denominated at 25 Cents offers a truly impeccable sight to behold. Anchored by a portrait of William P. Fessenden at center who briefly served as Treasury Secretary from 1864 to 1865, Fessenden's portrait is met by a bronzed overprint that was a favorite of Spencer M. Clark who served as the Superintendent of the National Currency Bureau during the 1860s. Here the bronzed overprint offers a truly exceptional sight that reacts to any nearby light source and is sure to command the interest of a Fractional Currency specialist. Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000.

Estimate:£897.23
