Fr. 2202-B. 1934A $500 Federal Reserve Note. New York. PCGS Banknote About Uncirculated 55 PPQ. Evocative of the very day this note circulated for the last time not long after it was originally printed. Bidders have here for their consideration a handsome $500 Federal Reserve Note from the New York district issued under the Series of 1934A that does well to live up to every aspect of the grade assigned. Here sublime color emphasized by the Treasury overprint cuts a fine contrast against a gradient of neutral tones exemplified by McKinley's portrait while superb originality is manifested throughout which underscores the application of the PPQ designation for "Premium Paper Quality" and the interest that should rightly follow this note when it ultimately crosses the auction block. Estimate: $2,500 - $3,500. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.
