Fr. 2202-G. 1934A $500 Federal Reserve Note. Chicago. PMG About Uncirculated 50 EPQ. No doubt an exemplar of the grade assigned. It takes little to figure that this lightly circulated $500 Federal Reserve Note from the Chicago district that was issued under the Series of 1934A is a picture-perfect reflection of the grading standards elaborated by PMG. Here a distinct vertical fold bisects the portrait of McKinley while an additional, but light fold bisects one of the corners and can easily be overlooked. Yet perhaps the most alluring thing about this example is the application of PMG's EPQ designation for "Exceptional Paper Quality" that does well to distinguish this handsome and honest example from many of its fellow survivors even at this grade level. Estimate: $2,500 - $3,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
