Locating any high denomination note at this lofty grade level is indeed a challenge and when such notes are offered publicly collectors typically take notice and fierce bidding often ensues in quick order as a result. This $1000 Federal Reserve Note from the Chicago district has earned an assigned grade of Gem New 66 PPQ from PCGS Banknote and embodies the tenants of the assigned grade to very letter of established grading standards while superb centering and frame-like margins do well to amplify the many attractive qualities endemic to this lovely numismatic item that avoided redemption. To that end, the rich greenish-blue Treasury overprint is particularly wholesome and lends this example a degree of eye appeal frequently lost upon circulated examples which is further met by a degree of originality that will easily provoke not only the attention of a specialist, but also a premium bid that complements the exceptional nature of this specimen issued under the Series of 1934A.
