Fr. 304. 1908 $10 Silver Certificate. PMG Very Fine 25. Spared the inglorious end that redemption entailed. This evenly circulated note represents the final signature combination used for this long-lived, but somewhat morbid design that lingered into the 1910s. Here the Parker - Burke signature combination can be encountered alongside familiar design elements including the tombstone-shaped portrait of Vice President Thomas A. Hendricks while the blue treasury overprint cuts a distinct contrast against earlier series imprints such as the Series of 1886. Held together with a number of distinctive engraved design elements that accompany the portrait of Hendricks, bidders certainly have a fine example for their consideration should they be looking to acquire an attractive example of this popular design. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
