Elegant collection-style frame in gilded and patinated wood – Old-fashioned / 1960s of the 20th century Description Type: Art frame / decorative wall frame Era: 1960s of the 20th century Style: Design inspired by classic and baroque tastes, characterized by a substantial gadrooned profile with a deep groove, ideal for enhancing antique paintings, small canvases or mirrors. Wooden structure Technique and Materials: Support: Solid carved and assembled wooden frame. Finish: Handcrafted gilding with metal leaf or gold, enriched by a red bole underlayer (visible in the cracks and at wear points) and by an artificial or natural patination that gives a lived-in effect, antique-inspired patina. General conditions: Overall good conservational condition. The surface shows intentional signs of aging and artisanal wear of the gilding that enhance its vintage and decorative character. Back visible in natural wood with remnants of period labels/paper. Historical and artistic notes: A refined piece of furniture produced in the height of the twentieth century, perfect for those who love pairing the warmth of decorative antiquity with modern or eclectic interiors. Excellent for highlighting a work of art or as a standalone collectible object.
