Magnificent antique frame in the “Salvator Rosa” style dating from the 19th century, characterized by the typical inverted profile, widely appreciated for its ability to give depth and prominence to paintings on canvas or panel, enhancing their perspective. The structure features classical moldings with an inward-slanted inner profile that guides the eye toward the work. The surface is beautifully gilded and patinated, with a warm antique gold tone that shows natural and fascinating signs of time, giving the artifact an authentic period flavor and a lived-in patina of great decorative value. On the back the frame shows the solid original wooden construction with reinforcement interventions and a suspension eye affixed.
