Frame - Wood, gold bread

Elegant late 19th-century frame, made of wood with relief ornamentation. It stands out for the fineness of its gilding, with warm reflections and delicate nuances that enhance the details of the decoration. Its wide molding combines a background of fine fluting with ornamental leaves in the corners. The outer contour features motifs of branches and small fruits, while a delicate inner frieze frames the opening. The gilding offers an attractive play of light between the smooth surfaces and the reliefs, enriched by the patina of time. It shows wear, small losses of preparation and of the gilding, as well as openings at some joints, visible in the photographs. The back preserves diagonal wooden reinforcements.
