Frame - Wood, Plaster - Gilded frame with shaped moulding – early 20th century

Italian early 20th-century cornice in gilded varnish, with a wide shaped moulding and dark connecting profiles. The effect is warm and classic: the inclined surfaces catch the light and give relief to the work to be inserted. The wooden construction with preparation and, where present, plaster ornaments is documented by photographs of the front and the details. The frame is empty by proposal; it can be set to a new pairing with a work compatible with its opening. Era: Early 20th century. Country of origin: Italy. Materials: wood and plaster, gilded finish. External dimensions: about 40 × 45 cm, height × width. Internal opening: about 27 × 33 cm, height × width. Sold empty, without painting, glass or mirror. Good overall condition, with patina, small abrasions and signs of finish wear visible in the details. The back retains marks of previous mounting and surface wear. Dedicated protective packaging, with particular attention to edges and corners.
