Borrel, standing figure of France indicating oriental characters on an easel to a male student in 18th century period costume, watched by an Indian, a Chinese, a Malay and an Indian, rev. Fame flying to left above a bust of the founder Lakanal on a column from which a parchment lists the school directors, female seated reading a book at left, mosque and pagoda in background, edge impressed bronze and cornucopia, 67 x 61mm, 100.93g (Maier 174; CGMP p.54; BM Acq. 1983-7, pl. 32, 10; Coll.
