Francesca Morlacchi - 'La siesta'

Francesca Morlacchi Maestro d'Arte, Equine Artist e Artista Contemporanea Emergente. Francesca Morlacchi was born in the Bergamo province in 1976, and from her very first steps she has been fascinated by horses, living in contact with them the deep emotions that fill the soul and heart with joy. Sometimes words are not enough to describe these wonderful animals in all their natural, powerful and complex beauty. After a mainly artistic schooling, attending the Istituto d’arte Andrea Fantoni and the Brera Academy, painting section, Francesca Morlacchi continues to draw, paint and portray especially horses. She obtains excellent critical reviews and feedback that continually confirm her talent, she receives prizes and honorable mentions and also builds a solid exhibition résumé in several national galleries and some international exhibitions. She is listed among Contemporary Artists in the official catalogs of Modern and Contemporary Art by Mondadori and the Italian Art Encyclopedia. Selected by director Alberto Nacci for the project '100 Faces of Bergamo Artists': catalog and video interviews. Patron member of the Paard Verzameld Equine Art Service Agency. She has also exhibited during show jumping competitions, both national and international. She collaborated with the Horse Angels association for a fundraising drive, donating a work for a charity auction. In 2025 and 2026 she exhibited in Travagliato horses and painted for four days a life-sized horse, a work later donated to the organizers. Curator Federico Caloi, current artistic coefficient 1.2. 'The Siesta' A portrait of a Lusitano foal caressed by the sun’s rays as it rests. Silent and warm atmosphere, where I used warm and golden glazes to give luminosity and a touch of antiquity to the painting. It is very luminous and, depending on the room’s light, the warm and cool tones change in intensity. The work is sold with a frame, varnished and hand-signed. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with an artistic coefficient. Edition Unique
