Francisco López Pacho (Gancedo) (1929) - Paisaje

GANCEDO: Artistic name of Francisco Lopez Pacho, a painter born in León on January 29, 1929. At the beginning of the 1960s he settled in La Coruña where, in addition to his usual work (decorating artistic stained glass, glass engraving, advertising drawing), he dedicates himself more intensely and continuously to painting and drawing. Gancedo has participated since then in numerous solo exhibitions (La Coruña, Lugo, Orense, Pontevedra, Ferrol and León) and group exhibitions (Madrid, Santander and León), and he has been awarded several prizes, including the silver medal in the XVI Certamen de Exaltación de Valores Leoneses (1968), the first prize of the IV Exposición de Pintura y Escultura "Ciudad de Mondoñedo" (1978), and the second prize for posters in the competition convened in 1979 by the Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de La Coruña. His work is dispersed in private collections in Spain, the Netherlands and Venezuela, as well as in the Diputación de León and the Centro Asturiano de La Coruña.
