Franco Bencivenga (XX) - Limoni in una ciotola

Beautiful oil painting on canvas depicting lemons in a bowl, by the painter Franco Bencivenga, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome in 1980. This painting is a contemporary still life characterized by a realism-oriented approach and a strong chiaroscuro contrast. The painting revisits the classical tradition of seventeenth-century chiaroscuro. The background is completely black and devoid of details, which pushes the viewer to focus solely on the subject. The brushstrokes are visible but controlled, used to give volume and three-dimensionality; there is an excellent material rendering: the artist has managed to clearly differentiate the rough, matte rind of the lemon from the smooth, transparent, and mirror-like surface of the glass The painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the painter. The dimensions of the painting are 35 x 25 cm, which ensures careful packaging and fast shipping.
