On the front is the original, characteristic brush signature “Leg.” in brown. • The decoration: a raised, thickly applied enamel painting showing autumn leaves (vine leaves or chestnut style) and dark berries. • The metal cap: a rare, original insert cap with decorative cut-out pattern (lattice work). This served to let dried flowers, spices, or fragrance blends inside subtly release their aroma into the room. - Details & features: • Artist/Manufacturer: François-Théodore Legras (1839–1916) TOP condition!
