François-Théodore Legras - Vase - Fontainebleau - Glass - Rare Nile green vase

Large Art Nouveau glass vase in Nil green with a gilded vegetal decoration attributed to François-Théodore Legras (1839-1916), a renowned master glassmaker, made in France at the Saint-Denis factory in the years 1900-1910, unsigned. Its characteristic Fontainebleau-style shape consists of a quadrangular neck with a wavy opening, a tall body narrowing at the center, followed by a flared, rounded base ensuring its stability. The supple, sinuous silhouette evokes the vegetal aesthetics of Art Nouveau. The vase is adorned with a remarkable vegetal decoration in gilded enamel, in relief in the form of long vertical stems and stylized foliage. Old piece showing signs of wear on certain parts of the decoration but it has no crack or chips. The photos are part of the description. Very careful packaging and fast shipping.
