Description Offered here is the striking Franklin Mint “The Duchess of Windsor Panther Bracelet”, an elaborate collector’s jewellery piece inspired by the celebrated panther jewels associated with Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor, and the famous designs of Cartier. This substantial vintage bracelet combines genuine black ebony, richly sculpted panther heads, 22-karat gold-plated decorative elements and four genuine rubies forming the animals’ eyes. The deep black ebony creates a particularly elegant contrast with the warm gold finish, while the ruby eyes give the opposing panther heads a dramatic appearance. Franklin Mint created its own interpretation of this famous jewellery tradition during the late 1980s. Surviving examples of this bracelet are known with the FM87 marking, referring to Franklin Mint and the 1987 design period.
