“Paleofamily” arises as a scene frozen in time, a primitive family reinterpreted through my raw and direct neo-expressionist language. In this 130 x 130 cm work, designed for a 3D cradle of 120 x 120 x 3.5 cm, I build figures that seem assembled between the human, the animal, and the symbolic. I’m not interested in classical anatomy, but in the emotion that comes from what is essential. Here there is protection, connection, and also tension. The figure on the right holds an ivory scepter, as if a guardian or leader, while the one on the left, with that eye crossed out in red, introduces a rupture, a wound, a story that is not told but felt. Between them, small beings—the cat, the bird, the crawling form—function as extensions of the family core, almost spirits that inhabit the scene. I work with a contained palette, almost monochrome, where black and gray dominate, and red appears as a heartbeat, as a sign of life or conflict. The lines, the cuts, and the splashes reinforce that idea of ancestral memory, of something that comes from very far back but keeps beating. In “Paleofamily” I do not paint a perfect family, I paint a real family: complex, protective, and deeply human. Freeon ( O.A. ) I am a self-taught Spanish visual artist, based in Alicante, who develops a personal language within the rupestrian-root neo-expressionism. My work springs from absolute creative freedom and a visceral need for expression. I work from intuition and the energy of the moment, in an environment where chill-out music helps me enter a near-ritual state. From there emerge my new figures: symbolic, primitive yet contemporary beings that seem to come from an ancient civilization but speak from the present. Rock art is not a reference for me as an aesthetic, but an active memory. Its essential strokes, its graphic power, and its symbolic character transform into a renewed language, charged with emotion, color, and expressive tension. I create figures that reinterpret the primitive from a current vision, building a bridge between the ancestral and the futuristic. I am in constant evolution, exploring techniques, materials, and narratives that expand my visual universe. Each work is an inner excavation and, at the same time, an invention: new characters, new symbols, and new mythologies that expand my creative world. @Freeon_art
