“Traces of the Past”, #21 mixed media on canvas, 80 x 120 × 3.5 cm. In this work I build an imaginary archaeology where primitive symbols, animals and ancestral signs appear between layers of intense color and free gestures. I’m interested in creating the sensation of facing an ancient wall uncovered in another time or even in another world, but reinterpreted from a contemporary, urban, and expressive language. Each stroke functions like a footprint, a fragment of lost memory that comes back to life on the canvas. I work with the layering of textures, lines and chromatic contrasts to generate a living visual territory, almost ceremonial, where the rupestrian and the modern coexist. I’m not aiming to depict a specific story, but to awaken the feeling of a collective memory that traverses time. The work invites the viewer to imagine, decipher and connect with their own inner symbols. Original and Unique Work. Each painting is a single creation, sent directly from my studio. I use high-quality acrylics and oils and innovative mixed techniques, including dripping, waxes, acrylic markers, ballpoint pens, rollers, brushes and spatulas. This combination allows me to achieve distinctive strokes and textures, giving life to my works. To facilitate framing, each canvas includes an additional margin of 5 centimeters on all sides. The edges are painted with a wrap-around finish, allowing the artwork to be appreciated in its entirety, both framed with an American box frame or frameless. To ensure durability and protect colors from UV rays, each painting receives a high-quality satin varnish layer. Images are illustrative and may not represent the exact scale of the artwork, so please carefully review the real dimensions indicated. Additionally, colors shown on screen may differ slightly from the original tones of the work; the live piece always looks better. Safe Shipping and Certificate of Authenticity The paintings are carefully shipped rolled, in secure packaging, to facilitate transport. Each shipment includes a printed certificate of authenticity, signed by me, Onofre Alarcón (O.A), confirming the exclusivity and originality of the work. About me: "I am a self-taught Spanish visual artist, based in Alicante, driven by an unwavering passion for creative freedom and spontaneous expression. My creative process thrives in a relaxed and stimulating environment, where chill-out music accompanies me, allowing me to channel my energy and give my best in every brushstroke. I am especially drawn to the expressionist style, where emotion and subjectivity take center stage. Proximity to the Mediterranean has deeply influenced my work, leading me to capture the beauty and force of the sea on numerous canvases. Additionally, rock art is a constant source of inspiration, and its primitive and essential strokes are often reflected in my creations. I see myself as an artist in constant evolution, exploring new techniques and styles, with vast creative potential. Each work is another step in my artistic journey, driving me to reach new goals."
