French school (XX) - Paysage lacustre aux oiseaux

Original work created in mixed media on paper, depicting a lake or marsh landscape animated by several birds. The composition, in panoramic format, features stylized vegetation in the foreground, treated in brown and earthy tones. Several birds appear in flight above the landscape, while the background is rendered in delicate shades of blue and white evoking the sky and water. The artist employs a particularly free and spontaneous approach, combining fine lines, washes, ink effects, and colored highlights. The vegetal forms are built with quick, expressive gestures that contrast with the softness of the background, giving the whole a light and poetic atmosphere. The work bears a handwritten signature in the upper right corner, visible in the photographs. The identity of the artist could not be established with certainty, so no attribution is offered.
