Fritz Haag is one of the Mosel's aristocratic estates, at Brauneberg, whose sun-trap slopes – the Brauneberger Juffer and its Sonnenuhr heart – were priced above all others on the river in the nineteenth century. Oliver Haag makes Rieslings of crystalline purity here. This is its dry Riesling from the Brauneberger Juffer. 2009 was a great, ripe Mosel vintage. David Schildknecht from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate gave it a rating of 90, and Michael Schmidt gave it 16 out of 20.
