Figure of Ganesha, the benevolent protective god. Legend says that when he was a child he really loved sweets, and one day, after eating a lot, he sat leaning against a tree to aid his digestion. The Moon laughed at him and mocked him, and then Ganesha, furious, looked for something to throw at the Moon and, not finding anything, broke off one of his tusks and hurled it at it. Hence Ganesha appears with a broken tusk, and the Moon bears a large crater from the impact. Excellent patina.
