Gaston Coppens (1909–2002) is a French artist whose multidisciplinary output is distinguished by a keen sense of form and volume. He began his artistic career by studying sculpture at the prestigious École Boulle in Paris, an initial training of excellence that would deeply and durably influence his entire subsequent artistic production. Later establishing his studio in Boulogne-Billancourt, on the edge of the capital, he devoted himself intensely to drawing and painting while preserving the imprint of three-dimensional modeling technique.
