All auctions / Ethnographical / Gastropod Sea shell - NAUTILIUS POMPILUS
DTD SHOP offers you this magnificent specimen of a seashell: the nacreous nautilus shell, also called Nautilus pompilius. The nacreous nautilus is a fascinating mollusk, a symbol of natural perfection. This shell, in a logarithmic spiral, stands out for its smooth surface, coated with iridescent mother-of-pearl that catches light from different angles, creating reflections in soft and shimmering hues. Its internal structure is equally remarkable, made up of perfectly compartmentalized chambers, in which the nautilus adjusts its gas volume to float or dive at will. This spiral organization testifies to progressive and harmonious growth, a reflection of the mathematical order present in nature. Often compared to a living fossil, the nautilus belongs to a family over 500 million years old, making it a precious witness to marine evolution. Its delicate appearance and subtle patterns make it an object of contemplation for sea lovers and a symbol of timeless natural beauty. - Dimensions: photos. - Weight: about 190 grams. - Condition: Perfect condition. Treated and cleaned. - Shipping method: Colissimo. DTD SHOP: Design Trend Dazzle.
