PROVENIENZ: nach Auskunft des Einlieferers wurde dieses Werk aus Zeitungsartikeln einer französischen Illustrierten collagiert und übermalt, in Frankreich hergestellt. | GATER, ULRICH (1954), ‘Tango’, 1986, dancing couples, signed and dated “Gater 2/86” in the lower right-hand corner, tempera over collage, HxW: mat cut-out approx. 64x49 cm (81x65 cm with frame). Slight signs of ageing, minimally wavy and cracks (due to the production process). Framed behind glass in a passe-partout. PROVENANCE: According to the consignor, this work was created by collaging and painting over newspaper articles from a French illustrated magazine; produced in France.
