Fragment of a metallic meteorite, ataxite, Gebel Kamil, 4.12 grams, set on a branch of gold-colored metal and mounted on a modern 18K gold-plated cord-style chain. It is a meteorite that fell in Egypt during the Holocene (about 5,000 years ago). In the impact it created one of the best-preserved young craters, Gebel Kamil. The bolide was traveling at high velocity at the moment of impact with the desert sandstone rock. It is classified as a metallic meteorite, specifically an ungrouped ataxite with a high nickel content. It lacks the classic Widmanstätten structures due to its type. Its main minerals are kamacite and schreibersite. A time traveler turned into a jewel. Feel the power of the universe on your skin. A unique jewel certified by one of the best meteorite experts, "Cráter Meteoritos". It ships with a certificate. Customs duties outside the EU will be borne by the auction winner.
