Gerardus Hurkmans (1911-?) - Town View with Figures

Gerardus Hurkmans. Dutch School, 20th Century. Town View with Figures – Oil on Canvas An atmospheric town scene depicting figures beside a small bridge, with white railings leading towards a Gothic doorway. Trees and closely grouped buildings give the composition an intimate character, while expressive brushwork brings movement to the quiet setting.
