German School (XIX) - Gebirgslandschaft mit Ruine und Almhütte

Romantic mountainous landscape in warm brown tones. In the middle distance a ruin with a round bergfried, a crenellated ring and Gothic tracery windows, next to it an alpine hut with outbuildings. In front, a path leads over a moored stone arch bridge, on which two hikers serve as staffage to enhance the depth. On the left a mountain stream tumbles over rock blocks. The background opens up in several tiers onto a snow-covered massif beneath moving clouds. Painterly carefully worked: a glaze-like buildup of the distance, lush light accents on the masonry of the tower, nuanced rock depiction in the foreground. The composition follows the tradition of German Romanticism and its successors. The frame visible in the photo is supplied as a service and is not an integral part of the work. Any damage to the frame does not constitute a valid reason for complaints or for cancelling the order.
