GERMAN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC. Berlin. 10 Mark. 1990. - Value: 10 Mark. - Year: 1990. - Inscriptions: Obverse: DEUTSCHE DEMOKRATISCHE REPUBLIK · 1990 · 10 MARK · A. Reverse: JOHANN GOTTLIEB FICHTE · 1762–1814. - Grade: MS67 (PCGS). Silver commemorative coin dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the death of philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte. The obverse shows the state emblem of the GDR and the Berlin mint mark A; the reverse depicts Fichte standing at a lectern, after a historical drawing by Wilhelm Henschel, with a figurative rendering of precise lines. This specimen features full relief, exceptionally clean fields, and a bright mint luster, with minimal signs perceptible consistent with the high grade MS67. Issued on March 14, 1990, it was one of the last commemorative coins of the GDR before monetary union and German reunification.
