Very beautiful historical object: a commemorative porcelain beer stein from the period, painted, that belonged to a soldier of the Kingdom of Bavaria's Pioneers in Ingolstadt, just before World War I. Inscriptions: 'Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit', 'Garnison Ingolstadt', the Bavarian motto 'In Treue fest', as well as the motto of the Pioneer corps. The soldier's name appears on the stein, along with the roster of his comrades-in-service. Lid: worked tin topped with a detailed steam locomotive (a symbol of the railway troops and the military engineers). The lithophane base: a beautiful romantic farewell scene between the soldier and his partner. In perfect condition.
