Abba on November 19, 1976, when they arrived at Schiphol for a promotional appearance on Eén van de Acht, a TV program hosted by Mies Bouwman at the Congresgebouw in The Hague. Original silver gelatine print. Signed. Size 20 x 24 cm. Shipped well packaged. Dutch photographer Gijsbert Hanekroot (Brussels, 1945) started his career in 1969 and worked for magazines and newspapers in the 1970s. His career as a photojournalist fits in perfectly with the explosion of the rock scene and he masterfully documented this golden age of music history - and photographed many of the greatest icons of the time. Gijsbert strived to capture images that revealed the man behind the musician. Trying to express a deeper truth about his subjects resulted in portraits that are natural and intimate, relaxed and sincere.
