Girl from the District, signed, Spanish School, 20th Century

Descriptio Drawing on paper, Dimensions: 72 x 49 cm and 91 cm. The portrait shows a young man with a bare torso, upright and with a serene expression, with a direct gaze that conveys confidence and freshness. The technique, based on pencil and soft colored glazes, stands out for its masterful use of light and shadow, which model the body with delicacy and restrained realism. The artist reinforces the naturalism of the figure through a neutral background that focuses attention on the expressiveness of the face and the clean lines. The style, rooted in the French academic tradition of the 20th century, reflects the continuity of classical drawing teaching and its ability to capture both the corporeality and the psychology of the sitter.
