Refined female portrait by Giulio Aristide Sartorio (1860-1932), a great versatile artist, active between the late nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth. Sartorio was a prominent exponent of Italian divisionism and symbolism, famous for his portraits, landscapes and large decorative cycles. The painting depicts a young woman in profile, captured in an elegant and reflective stance.
