The painting style reflects post-impressionist figurative influence and Italian macchia (spatter/spot) painting. The composition captures a coastal view with a serene and silent atmosphere, dominated in the background by Capri’s famous Faraglioni reflecting in the water. The artist demonstrates notable skill in the play of aquatic reflections and in the use of a rich, fluid and tactile brushstroke, capable of granting great three-dimensionality and light to the entire scene.
