The economic miracle not only brought new prosperity to the citizens - it was also a time of social events, elegant soirées and dinner parties. Both developments are reflected in this ring, a wonderful jewel of the 1950s. In the center, the ring sets an intense light blue aquamarine of about 8.00 ct in a step cut. The cut emphasizes the striking brilliance of the gemstone - for in addition to its wonderful light blue colour, it is this that makes the aquamarine such a sought-after gemstone. An elaborate ornamental openwork gallery also allows plenty of light to reach the stone from the side. On the side, the large aquamarine is framed by sculpted bands of high karat white gold, set all over with small diamonds. These bands are virtually the hallmark of 1950s jewellery - dynamic movement and three-dimensionality made the jewellery of that decade seem so modern and fresh for all its preciousness. Because after the hardships of the war years, people were looking for a suitable formal language that would also make them aesthetically forget the past and symbolize a new beginning. The ring is an exceptionally beautiful jewel of an exciting time rich in history. The quality of its materials corresponds to that of the design - we have had an external certificate prepared on this, which is supplied with the ring.
