Glaswerkstätten Lauscha: Clown Harlekin

This little Harlequin clown is exceptionally well made. The body and the legs are blown. The feet were formed when the glass was still hot, using tongs. They were made in the roarinG roaring twenties and radiate a bit of Art Deco. A clown was always depicted traditionally at that time. That is not the case here. It already starts with the color choice. Pink suit and yellow collar and blue hat. The shoes are made of dark blue glass. The whole is enhanced by the use of tinsel with a small bell underneath. Because it is handmade and also hand-colored, differences can arise between the various Christmas ornaments. These are 11 x 11 cm in size. (tinsel included). Good condition for the age.
