Golden Boy (2000) - Sculpture

Golden Boy (2000) – “COLOR ME DEAD!” (2026) – Unique Original Ceramic Sculpture (1/1) Original Ceramic Sculpture – Unique Piece (1/1) Golden Boy is an emerging contemporary street artist and the flagship artist of Pop & Street Art Gallery. His distinctive universe blends graffiti culture, pop art and urban aesthetics into vibrant, expressive compositions that challenge conventions and celebrate creative freedom. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ “COLOR ME DEAD!” With “COLOR ME DEAD!”, Golden Boy transforms one of art history's most powerful symbols — the human skull — into an explosion of color, energy and contemporary urban expression. Crafted in ceramic, the sculpture features a spectacular iridescent finish, reflecting intense shades of electric blue, emerald green, violet, gold and metallic pink. Across its glossy, reflective surface, bold white paint drips cascade from the top of the skull, creating a dramatic contrast between the polished metallic appearance and the spontaneous gestures of street art. Bright touches of orange, turquoise and pink complete the composition, introducing a playful graffiti-inspired dimension. The contrast between the skull's traditional association with mortality and its vibrant, almost futuristic appearance creates a visually captivating and deliberately provocative artwork. Through this unexpected combination, Golden Boy challenges the conventional representation of death, transforming a symbol of impermanence into a celebration of color, creativity and individuality. One skull. A thousand reflections. Death has never looked so alive. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ORIGINAL UNIQUE CERAMIC SCULPTURE Created in 2026, “COLOR ME DEAD!” combines ceramic craftsmanship, spectacular iridescent effects and expressive hand-painted interventions. The artwork explores the relationship between Pop Art, contemporary street culture and the timeless symbolism of the vanitas, reinterpreting a classical artistic subject through a bold and distinctly modern visual language. Its multicolored reflective finish changes appearance depending on the light and viewing angle, revealing shifting tones and unexpected chromatic effects. The white paint drips introduce movement and spontaneity, contrasting with the smooth, highly reflective ceramic surface. This unique original artwork (1/1) stands out through its intense visual impact, contrasting textures and distinctive contemporary aesthetic. A bold and unconventional statement piece, ideal for a modern interior or a collection dedicated to Pop Art, contemporary ceramics and street art.
