Great White Shark Taxidermy full body mount - Carcharodon...

The great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is a cartilaginous fish in the Lamnidae family. The sole living representative of the genus Carcharodon, this shark is the largest predatory fish currently on the planet, and the third-largest fish of all time, after the whale shark and the elephant shark. The term Carcharodon comes from ancient Greek karcharódōn (composed of kárcharos, meaning 'sharp', and odóntos, meaning 'tooth'). Karcharías, on the other hand, means 'shark', giving the final meaning: 'shark with sharp teeth'. The great white shark’s mouth is lined with several rows of teeth: triangular and serrated in the upper jaw to shred prey, long and sharp in the lower jaw to stab and hold prey. Exceptional tooth of the upper jaw, lateral. Dimensions: 47.9 mm x 39.1 mm. Dentition perfectly delineated, enamel glossy of the highest quality, tooth entirely free of imperfections. Very beautiful! Auction absolutely one to win. Sale only within the EU.
