Ca. 400 BC. A fine terracotta askos with a broad body on a low, slightly splayed foot, a short flaring mouth, and a tapering spout. A broad strap handle links the mouth and spout, its upper face stamped with a rectangular maker�s mark. For a similar shape, see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 2015.642. Size: 140mm x 120mm; Weight: 195g Provenance: Private London collection; previously in a South German private collection formed on the European art market during the 1980s�1990s.
