Ca. 500 BC. An iron sword with a long, straight blade tapering to a narrow point. A plain crossguard separates the blade from the narrow rectangular grip, which is set with two rings and ends in a faceted pommel with projecting lobes. Size: 880mm x 115mm; Weight: 975g Provenance: Private London collection; formerly in M. Ebnother collection, Switzerland, 1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
