Ca. 550 - 500 BC. A marble relief fragment depicting a nude ephebe in profile to the left. His youthful head is bound with a broad fillet, with a finely carved eye, a straight nose, soft lips and a rounded chin. The hair is arranged in dense, finely incised waves, with longer locks falling over the nape. For similar see: J. Bowman, Treasures of Ancient Greece, p. 52.
