Up for auction is an exceptionally large and splendid vintage tablecloth from Spain, probably dating from the 1960s or 1970s. The piece impresses with its Sevillian folklore motifs and its top-notch craftsmanship. Special features & quality: No print: The intricate central field depicts traditional Andalusian scenes (Flamenco dancers, guitarists, matadors) and is fully and finely crafted as jacquard/gobelin weave. Elegant shine & rich colors: The yarns have a beautiful, silk-like luster from above. The colors are extremely vivid, lively, and superbly preserved. Magnificent edge: A wide, heavy brocade edge in green, gold, and red with classic ornaments frames the scene. The textile is completed with opulent, hand-knotted fringes. Dimensions: Length: approx. 185 cm Width: approx. 150 cm (A rare and coveted oversized size for this type of vintage textile!) Condition: Good, age-appropriate vintage condition. The textile shows only a few very unobtrusive, light stains that do not disturb the overall magnificent impression in any way. No holes, no tears, fringes are well preserved.
