GROSSES FÜNFTEILIGES PRUNKSERVICE UND TAFELGERÄT AUS SILBER

Persien / Iran (Isfahan), Mitte 20. Jh. (Pahlavi-Dynastie), u. a. Meister Vartan. Silber, getrieben, reich graviert und ziseliert (Ghalam-Zani). Teilweise mit Innenvergoldung und Holzmontierung. Umfangreiches Ensemble bestehend aus: Große Fußschale / Aufsatzschale: Passig geschweifte, segmentierte Wandung mit dichtem Arabesken- und Blütendekor. Auf gewundenem Schaft und gewellter Standfläche. Boden gemarkt mit persischer Löwenpunze (Löwe mit Krummschwert / Staatswappen). HxD: 27/34 cm. Dreiteiliges Samowar-Ensemble: Samowar: Balusterform auf quadratischem Sockel mit vier Kugelfüßen. Wandung mit figürlichen Szenen in getriebenen Kartuschen, umgeben von dichtem Rankenwerk. Holzgriffe, abnehmbares Ofenrohr. Teekanne: Passender kleiner Aufsatz-Teekrug mit geschwungenem Tülle. Tropfschale: Rundes Auffangbecken mit Kordelrand und Gravurdekor. H: 27 cm. ( mit Kanne). Quadratische Deckeldose: Mit Scharnierdeckel. Der Deckel mit großem zentralem Blütenmedaillon, die Wandung mit fortlaufendem Fries. Das Innere reich feuervergoldet. HxBxT: 2/10/10 cm. Likörservice (7-teilig): Tablett: Rundes Präsentiertablett mit Kordelrand und dichtem sternförmigen Geometrie- und Rankendekor. Tablett: D: 28 cm., Kelch, H: 10 cm. Sechs Likörkelche: Auf leicht ausgestelltem Rundfuß, mit fein ziselierter Wandung. H: 9 cm. Das Samowar-Ensemble, die Deckeldose und das Likörservice sind gemarkt mit dem Werkstattstempel "VARTAN" in lateinischen Buchstaben sowie der Feingehaltspunze "84" (entspricht 875/1000 Silber). Die große Fußschale ist abweichend mit der persischen Löwenpunze (Löwe mit Krummschwert) gemarkt, was sie als offizielle iranische Silberarbeit ausweist. Silver (875/1000 standard), repoussé, engraved and finely chased (Ghalam-Zani), partly fire-gilt to the interior and with wooden fittings. An exceptionally extensive ensemble comprising: 1. Large Pedestal / Centerpiece Bowl. With lobed, segmented sides densely decorated with arabesques, scrolling foliage and floral ornament. Raised on a twisted stem and a shaped circular foot. The underside bears the Persian Lion hallmark (Lion holding a curved sword, the state emblem of the Pahlavi period). Dimensions: H. 27 cm; Dia. 34 cm. 2. Three-Piece Samovar Set. Comprising a samovar, matching teapot and drip tray. The baluster-shaped samovar stands on a square base with four ball feet. The body is decorated with repoussé figural scenes within cartouches, surrounded by dense scrolling foliage and arabesque ornament. Fitted with wooden handles and a removable chimney. The matching teapot features an elegant curved spout. The circular drip tray is decorated with a ropework border and engraved ornament. Overall height (with teapot): 27 cm. 3. Square Covered Box With hinged lid. The lid is centered by a large floral medallion, while the sides are decorated with a continuous ornamental frieze. The interior is richly fire-gilt. Dimensions: H. 2 cm; W. 10 cm; D. 10 cm. 4. Seven-Piece Liqueur Service. Comprising a circular serving tray and six matching liqueur goblets. The tray features a ropework border and densely engraved geometric star and arabesque decoration. The goblets stand on slightly flared circular feet and are finely chased throughout. Dimensions: Tray: Dia. 28 cm; Goblets: H. 9 cm each. Marks and Hallmarks. The samovar set, covered box and liqueur service are stamped "VARTAN" in Latin letters together with the "84" silver standard mark, corresponding to 875/1000 silver. The large pedestal bowl bears instead the Persian Lion hallmark (Lion with curved sword), identifying it as an officially assayed. Iranian silver piece from the Pahlavi period. Total weight: 4,384 g. An exceptional and highly decorative ensemble of Persian silver from Isfahan. The masterful Ghalam-Zani chasing, partial fire-gilding and the combination of figural scenes, arabesques and geometric ornament make this service an outstanding example of Iranian silversmithing from the Pahlavi era.
